February may be short, but it is certainly not short on fun! There are so many National Days for February Fun that will have you celebrating. You will be sharing Love & Romance on Valentine’s Day, Doggy Dates, Margarita Madness and the new trending Galentine’s Day. Don’t miss any of the Fun February has to offer to spread cheer & joy, create happiness in your home & your heart and celebrate the everyday!
Have more Fun!

My favorite childhood memories often revolved around holidays, parties and travel. There was something so exhilarating knowing what was about to come, but not yet being able to feel it, smell it, taste it, see it or experience it. Do you remember the pure thrill knowing Christmas was coming as a kiddo? There is something truly magical about the sheer spirit of excitement.
When I had my sweet little girl, I knew I wanted her to grow up in an environment that celebrated the seasons, elevated the excitements, and created magical moments and meaningful memories throughout the year. Not just when Christmas was coming or her birthday was approaching. Not just when we were packing our bags for the beach or Disney World. But to elevate the excitement and allow her to experience absolute, unobliterated happiness as often as possible.
Mama is the title I wear most proudly and it important to me to intentionally celebrate all of life’s occasions. We try to celebrate all the major milestones, the everyday fun and everything in between. There can be true magic in the everyday moments. Seeing my daughter’s smile is my greatest gift in life. Her smile and laugh allows me to experience true happiness at my core has me a little obsessed with creating more magical moments, meaningful memories and intentionally celebrating life. Celebrating more really is a win-win for everyone.
Together we can elevate the everyday!
So of course, we go all out for the holidays around here. In fact, Mama Needs Vodka (MNV) exists entirely to bring you ideas and inspiration to usher continual happiness into your home. I hope for MNV to be your go to source for celebrating every season, from the hip hip hooray of the holidays to all of life’s exciting events.
So whether you are planning your kid’s big birthday bash, a Galentine’s Day Brunch, an epic movie night at home or a banana split picnic in the park, I hope MNV offers you inspiration to have more fun, to imbibe in mimosas and milkshakes, to have styled celebrations and to create more meaningful moments that are designed to delight.

Feb 1: National Dark Chocolate Day
If you are anything like me this one sounds easy to celebrate. Plus, dark chocolate has both health and happiness benefits. Yum!
Feb 2: Groundhog Day
I still can’t believe we let a furry little varmint determine how long we have to endure the cold? But I say shadow or no shadow we celebrate the little guy.
Feb 3: Doggy Date Night

That’s right, you heard me correctly. Later in the month, we will celebrate love on Valentine’s Day but tonight it is all about celebrating your Furry Friend. Plan a special night of your pup’s favorite things, and make his walk extra long. And if you really wanna spoil your sweet friend, look no further than the Bark Box.
Feb 4: National Homemade Soup Day
Chicken Noodle, Italian Meatball, Taco Soup, Tomato Bisque… so many soups, only one day to celebrate. Bust out your tried and true traditional favorite or turn to Pinterest and try something new.
Feb 5: National Wear Red Day
February is American Heart Month and the first Friday of February everyone is encouraged to wear red to raise awareness.
Feb 6: National Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day
Here is a super fun national day for February Fun that I think kids and adults alike can get behind. Skip the syrup this Saturday and don your morning waffle with a delicious scoop of ice cream. Have fun and get creative with this one, the possibilities are endless.
Feb 7: Super Bowl Sunday

Are you ready for some football? Whether you watch for the commercials or the football, or heck maybe you just love the snacks. Get ready for Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to take on Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? (Did you know Mahomes was in Kindergarten when Brady won his first Super Bowl? Too funny).
We are planning Cuban Sandwiches which originated in Tampa, KC Masterpiece BBQ Chips and Pirate Punch for our Super Bowl Party. This menu allows us to experience a little taste from each city. If you opt for a more traditional tailgate menu, you might love these 4 Easy Game Day Recipes for the Perfect Tailgate.
And be sure not to miss the always popular Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring The Weekend.
Wow, that was a busy week of celebrating from Ice Cream Breakfasts to doggy dates, capped off by Super Bowl Sunday. So on this Monday I think we all need a little break.
Feb 9: National Pizza Day
It’s time for a Pizza Party!!!! The only real question here is, will you make it or order in? Your local faves are likely to have deals for you. Wanna really make National Pizza Day one to remember, then have the perfect pizza delivered to your doorstep with a Lou Malnati’s Chicago Deep Dish. This is one recommendation you will definitely thank me for.
Feb 13: Galentine’s Day
A day dedicated to celebrating your gal pals. Host a Galentine’s Day Brunch or a Zoom Happy Hour.
Feb 14: Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is traditionally thought of showering your significant other with romance. And I most definitely encourage you to celebrate that very important relationship. But just remember that Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love in general, so make it a family affair, or even spend the evening indulging in self-care. No matter how you choose to celebrate, just remember to Share Your Love in a Big Way!
Feb 15: President’s Day
Enjoy the Day Off if you are fortunate enough to receive it. Plan something fun with the kiddos, extend Valentine’s Day, have family fun exploring history, or just relish in the rare 3 day weekend!
Feb 16: Margi Gras
Grab those colorful beads, don fun masks and celebrate Fat Tuesday with a New Orleans Feast or your fave guilty pleasures.
Feb 17: Random Act of Kindness Day
This is one of those holidays we should be practicing every day, but let this day be a particular reminder to go out of your way and offer a few extra random acts of kindness. Spread your cheer and your kindness.
Feb 18: National Drink Wine Day

It’s Thirsty Thursday my friends, the calendar has never given you a better excuse to kick back and enjoy a nice glass (or bottle, no one is judging!) of you fave red or white.
Feb 19: National Chocolate Mint Day
Man, how I loved mint chocolate ice cream as a kid! Might be a great day to take the family out for a scoop! Too cold where you are? Then skip the ice cream and head straight to the box of Girl Scout Thin Mints, just be sure to share.
Feb 20: National Muffin Day
Saturday Morning Muffins sound like a sweet weekend treat. Whip up a batch at home, head out to your fave coffee shop, or turn to the internet for local recommendations for the best muffin in town.
Feb 21: National Sticky Bun Day
Apparently this weekend wants us to live it up in the form of sweet breakfast treats.
Feb 22: National Margarita Day
According to the Beverage Industry, Margarita is the most popular cocktail in the USA. Have a little Monday Margarita Madness! The only question is will you go Frozen or On the Rocks? Traditional or Fruit Flavored?
Feb 24: National Tortilla Chip Day

Margaritas on Monday, Tortilla Chips on Wednesday? Hmmmm…you definitely could take this opportunity to combine the two events and have an epic Taco Tuesday party on Feb 23. Grab your fave salsa, make some homemade Guac (check out my super simple Guacamole tip here) and/or Queso (#QuesoisLife). Heck, you could even go all in and have nachos for dinner (The whole family would love these Cast Iron Skillet Nachos with ooey gooey bubbly cheese).
Feb 25: National Chili Day
Chili is just about the perfect winter comfort food. Today would be a great day to make a big ol pot of your super secret, award-winning masterpiece because warmer weather is approaching (hopefully). Or you could even host a chili cookoff, but be warned the competition usually gets heated.
Feb 28: Golden Globes
Host a red carpet worthy viewing party at home this year, little black dress optional. Cast your votes, watch for the winners, and enjoy a glam menu. Oh and be sure to pick your best dressed of the night as well. It’s a fun grand finale to the all the February Fun.
February may be the shortest month of the year, but you can see it offers plenty of excuses to celebrate.
You may not want to, or be able to celebrate every single one of these super fun, sometimes silly occasions. I hope this list of National Days for February Fun will inspire you to pick a few of your faves and have a little more fun this month. Of course, Valentine’s Day will likely be the highlight of February; it is an amazing opportunity to share your love. But I believe you can spread cheer and joy, create happiness in your home and in your heart when you can celebrate the everyday too!
Cheers to all the National Days for February Fun!
