After a full year in quarantine, it is only fitting to plan an Egg-stra special Easter Celebration at home. Make your Easter one to remember with adorable bunny ear cupcakes, pretty pink peep-tinis and of course spring pastel colored Easter printables.
Spring is officially in the air, Easter is just around the corner, and we finally see light at the end of this isolation tunnel. It’s time to hop into Spring with an Egg-stra special Family Fun Easter Celebration!
There is absolutely something so wonderful about this time of the year. I love the warmth of the sunshine hitting my face after a long, cold, dreary winter. And let’s face it this Winter was particularly long with Miss Rona’s extended stay.
I love gazing out into the world as it pops with colors as everything springs back to life.
And I just LOVE Easter!
Egg-stra Special Easter Celebration
Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. I have such fond childhood memories of Easter fun. And it has become even more exciting now that I am a Mom.
From the easter egg hunts, to dying the eggs, to Easter baskets filled to the brim, to biting the ears off your child’s chocolate bunny, to sneaking a little of your favorite Easter candy. (Hello…Cadbury Mini Eggs, so nice to see you again). There is such joy in celebrating Easter regardless of your religious preferences.
After a full year in quarantine, I am hopeful this is the last major holiday we have to spend isolated at home. I can already envision family and friends gathering to celebrate in the near future.
And, oh how wonderful that will be. To embrace one another in warm welcoming hugs. To sit together sharing our favorite foods laughing. I for one am looking so forward to the day when we can truly celebrate life, together again.
So for what I hope is the last hoo-rah at home, I wanted to create an Egg-stra special family Easter celebration this year. After all we have been through this past year, I think we could all use a little extra happiness in our home…and in our hearts.
I hope you will find a fun idea or two to inspire your own special Easter celebration at home.

For some people it’s all about the Easter dinner…plates full of ham, cheesy potatoes, and deviled eggs. And if I am being completely honest, I am an absolute sucker for piling my plate a little too high with ooey-gooey, cheesy potato deliciousness.
But for styling the perfect little party, it’s all about the sweets. The more the merrier, and the prettier the better.
Styling the perfect dessert table really only requires 2 key things, a great backdrop and ahem…desserts!
I started with these pretty pastel paper fans to create the base of the backdrop. They are super inexpensive and easy to work with, plus make such a statement.
This custom designed Happy Easter Banner as the backdrop centerpiece was the perfect addition. I love the beautiful spring colors and Easter egg patterns. The colors pop and really pull the whole look together. You can grab this exact banner FREE inside the After Party now for your own Easter celebration.
I realized I didn’t have any Spring tablecloths (hmmm…sounds like an excuse to shop), so I grabbed a couple of my daughter’s old baby blankets. Perfect? Nope. Did anyone notice? Absolutely not. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have.
I styled the table first with just a couple fun Easter and Spring pieces I already had decorating my home.
And placing Easter eggs inside my lantern adorned with a spring plaid bow was such a fun touch.
Next up… well the desserts of course.
I served deliciously moist Red Velvet Cupcakes with rich cream cheese frosting.
We made the cupcakes even more fun and festive by serving them in fun pastel cupcake liners that coordinated with the Happy Easter Banner.
The cupcakes were adorned with cute marshmallow bunny ears and adorable bunny bum Cupcake Toppers, To recreate the bunny ears, simply cut marshmallows in half diagonally and dip in sprinkles.
I filled two sprinkled coated rim Martini glasses with fun easter treats. One with Bunny Bait, a yummy delish, chocolate covered popcorn and pretzel mix. The other with Easter Candies.
Of course, we had to serve some fun Bunny Cutout Sugar Cookies to round out the dessert selection.
Finally, to complete the tablescape I added some loose Bunny Bait, Easter candies, cotton candy and plastic eggs to serve as filler and to add even more dimension and color.
No celebration is fully complete around here without a signature cocktail and mocktail. These adorably fun Pink Peep-tinis served in a sugar coated rim Martini Glass, topped with a floating Peep were just about perfect for this day of Easter fun.
Pink Peep-tini Recipe at a glance: 1 oz. vodka, 4 oz. lemon lime soda, fresh squeezed lime juice and a splash of Pomegranate juice. The Mocktail was simply lemon lime soda and Pomegranate juice. Then let your little peep friend take a swim.
Not only were they festive, but they were incredibly tasty and oh so fun.
EVEN MORE FUN:
Our Easter celebration was a full day of excitement. First, we started the morning with the little one exploring her Easter Basket to uncover all her goodies and treats.
Then while dinner was cooking, we followed a long standing family tradition and colored Easter Eggs.
We enjoyed a lovely Easter meal together, then shared laughter and smiles as we devoured that beautiful dessert table.
Afterwards, we all went off to burn a few of those extra calories in a friendly little Easter egg hunt.
It was such a beautiful day filled with joy, laughter, smiles and sweet memories!
