January is my least favorite month of the year, there I said it. Anyone else feel me on this? So I always welcome February with open arms. It means that with every passing day we are closer and closer to spring.
February is also the month of love! And in my book that calls for a little celebration.
An Epic Dessert Board:
Expect charcuterie boards, grazing platters, treat trays, dessert boards or whatever fun name you wanna give them to be a huge party trend this year.
I wanted to have a little sweet treat soiree to celebrate love this Valentine’s Day. I thought it would be really fun to make a Sweet Treat Tray of delish desserts to give you some ideas and inspiration for creating your own. And hello Valentine’s Day and chocolate go together about as well as peanut butter and jelly. So I created this epic dessert board.
And you know I had to pair it with a super fun cocktail for the adults and mocktail for the kiddos.
Finally, I completed the soiree with these amazing printables to give our sweet little shindig just a little extra Wow factor.
Since this was just a small family Valentine’s Day celebration, I wanted to keep it simple, but of course so very sweet. I knew my toddler would love all the sweet treats, seeing how she has made a beeline for the Valentine’s Day candy dish every morning this week. But I thought it was something the adults would really love as well.
Look how amazing this dessert board turned out! I honestly can’t decide if it was more fun to make or to devour. So read on for all the deets.

The Perfect Dessert Board Starts with Melted Chocolate
I love melting chocolate! Would you guys believe me if I told you I literally did this for the first time ever just a few months ago? I couldn’t believe how easy…and fun it was. Now I am a little obsessed with going WIlly Wonka around here and seeing what kind of goodies I can create.
The great thing about it is you can melt just one big bowl of chocolate. Then do so much with it from there. If you are new to melting and working with chocolate you might love this post (Coming Soon). It has instructions on how to make a double broiler and some awesome tips and tricks to making your own masterpieces at home.
Once I had a big bowl of chocolate melted and ready to go I dipped chocolate covered strawberries, pretzel rods, wafer cookies and made little chocolate hearts.
Of course what is really fun about making your own chocolate sweets is decorating it all. I love all the drizzles and sprinkles that make all of these sweet treats even more delish… and beautiful.
Celebrate the Sweet Life Soiree Details:
Honestly, our Valentine’s Day Dessert Board turned out even better than I had envisioned. But I promise it was easier than you might think.
I also baked up some cupcakes to serve as the centerpiece of my dessert board. But guess what, I openly admit I used a box mix to help make the whole process a little easier on me. While I am a huge fan of making even the smallest of celebrations absolutely beautiful. I am equally a fan of making them as easy as possible. I find that when most people plan events, they take on too much. This often makes the event more difficult than in needs to be…or even stressful! We say heck no to the stress around here. We are all about elevating and celebrating the everyday, but having fun doing it.
So girl go ahead grab that boxed cake mix, and heck even the pre packaged icing too if you want. Or head to your local bakery and let them provide the cupcakes. With these awesome cupcake liners and toppers you can make them absolutely gorgeous just the same.
I then filled in the dessert board with Cupid’s Crunch so there were no empty spots. You can grab the recipe for Cupid’s Crunch here. This is such a fun recipe because you can easily adjust it to match the theme of any holiday or celebration. Plus, the combination of sweet and salty makes it an absolute crowd pleaser.
RASPBERRY MOSCOW MULE & LIL RASPBERRY BABY MULE MOCKTAIL:
I love having a themed signature cocktail and mocktail with all of our parties, big and small. So I made these awesome Raspberry Moscow Mules and Raspberry Baby Mule Mocktails accompanied by fresh raspberries and conversation hearts to sip on. They were insanely delicious and oh so much fun. Grab the recipe here.
We then turned on some tunes and just hung out with our sweet treat dessert board centerpiece laughing, dancing and playing. It was a beautiful and memorable night of fun!
Celebrate the Sweet Life Party Decor:
I’d love to tell you that the printables were the hero of our sweet little soiree, but the truth is… it was the chocolate covered strawberries! They were as delicious as they were beautiful. But if you aren’t ready to make your own, Shari’s Berries has the absolute best ones I have ever had.
However, the details and decor really elevated our little soiree. They were designed with this little celebration in mind. So they would be absolutely perfect for your Valentine’s Day celebration at home. They would also make for great Galentine’s Day get together decor. Don’t forget to share you love with your besties on Galentine’s Day on Saturday February 13.
